Aware Bear Computers Rochester NY | Why custom build
computers better then store are bought ones?

Imagine the best computer components put together in a
killer case and the best software (with no trial or junk software) of any kind.
Too good to be true? Not at all says Aware Bear owner Andre Leite Alves in
Rochester NY.

“At Aware Bear we use the best components available in the
market in order to build the best computer systems in Rochester NY. Asus,
Western Digital, Intel, Segate, AMD, Silent X are just a few brands AwareBear
uses in a regular basis”.

 Our custom build PCs
come with a Lifetime warranty. We are proud to offer that to our customers. No
other computer store in Rochester NY has that, add Aware Bear owner Arthur
Leite Alves. Aware Bear also offers the option of Windows XP or Windows Vista.

Who did not struggle with a “out of the box” PC that was
full of trial software, trial games and other junk that can drive anyone crazy?
To make it even worse after spending almost a month uninstalling all the
software your 30 day trial version of Antivirus and Office expires and here we
go again back to the store to spend another $400 to $500.

The biggest complaints we hear in a daily basis are the
protection plans big box stores offers that are not needed. A computer already
comes with a 1 year warranty when purchased new. Refurbished items come with a
30, 60 or 90 day warranty.

The stores will sell another 1 year warranty on top of the
original manufactures warranty. “In the last 2 years we have noticed many big
computer stores going out of business. People are realizing that the big stores
solutions are not for everyone, their repair prices are inflated and the staff
is trained to sell not to help. “Says AwareBear Manager Milke A.

Aware Bear Computers will beat any advertised printed Ad for
a custom build computer in Rochester NY. Aware Bear also offers the top of the
line components such as: Asus, Intel, AMD, Western Digital, Toshiba, Sony,
Samsung in Rochester NY. Bring the Ad to our store on 5 Monroe Avenue in
Pittsford NY and we will beat it. Meanwhile check out the beautiful historical
village and the Erie Canal.

We also offer business servers with liquid cooling
technology, home office solutions with multiple LCD screens, home theater
designs (7.1 sound systems, large screen TVs LCD or Plasma, Blue Ray DVD and more).
Our high end systems use the latest quiet fan technology available in the
market. “The only way I know that my server is on is because the light in on in
the case.” Says Rich James in Rochester NY.

If you are thinking about upgrading, purchasing, recycling a
laptop, desktop or mini PC come see Aware Bear Computers in Rochester NY. Our
staff has over 20 years experience. “The door is always open at 5 Monroe Ave in
Pittsford NY” says Aware Bear owner Andre Leite Alves.

Parking is allowed in front of store, no parking between the
hours of 4:30pm to 6 pm Monday – Friday. Mayor Robert Corby encourages the
parking along the village, it helps slow down speeders.

Computer disaster planing rochester ny | aware bear computers new york | rochester ny computer repai

AwareBear Computers in Rochester NY will be talking about keeping your data safe in an event of data loss. When it comes to data recovery in Rochester NY Aware Bear is #1.

Computer disaster planning is something that has to be considered at some point for everyone including people and businesses. “The majority of people today depend on computers” says Aware Bear Computers owner Andre Leite Alves in Rochester NY.

Power surges, hard drive failures (mechanical, software and virus) are common risks we all face when storing our data. Many people have no backups of anything, pictures, music, documents and emails. “We see that happen in a daily basis and how expensive it is to get your data back once data recovery is needed.” Says Arthur Leite Alves from AwareBear in Rochester NY.

The other side of the story is when the backup is done on CDs or DVDs and the disks do not get labeled correctly. That can get very messy, having a pile of disks and not knowing what is inside. As technology evolves the backup media gets more and more stable. In the 90s Zip drives were great however they were magnetic and got damaged very easily.

When the first CDs hit the market they were expensive and took a while to write them. Finally DVDs that could hold up to 4.7 gigs were out and that was the ultimate backup solution. Today we rely on the 4,7 gig and 8.5 gig DVDs, the 8.5 still a bit expensive and records a bit slow however once it gets done recording it works like any other disk.

“We keep a few Iomega Zip drives (100 and 250), tape drives, floppy drives around the office. People do not realize that the media they used a few years back is not available and they no longer have the devices to read.” Says Aware Bear owner Andre Leite Alves.

It is a good idea to keep checking in the new technologies so we don’t end up with obsolete media that no new computer can read. Arthur Leite Alves also points out that the optical media has a shelf life like anything else. A few years back we moved all the Aware Bear Computers data from zip drives into CDs. Five years later we moved the data from the CDs into DVDs. That opened a lot of space, owner Andre Alves has plans to move the data into 8.5 gig DVDs and cut the DVD usage in half.

By doing that Aware Bear is sure that the data is being stored in Medias that can be easily used. It would not be of much help if someone had all their backup done in Zip disks and got a new computer today and could not get any of the old data off the disks.
